Milk mixed with some added ingredients can do wonders for your skin. Six such milk face packs are listed below-

Milk and lemon juice

Milk mixed with lemon juice makes an exceptional toner. Milk nourishes the deep skin layers, adding firmness to the skin. Lemon contains vitamin C, which treats dark spots and brightens the skin.

2 tbsp milk

Put a few couple of drops of lemon juice into the raw milk. A pinch of turmeric can also be added. Put the mixture evenly on your neck and face. Keep it on for 15 minutes or until it’s dry, then rinse it with water.

Milk, rose petals and honey

Milk is rich in lactic acid. It helps in removing all the dead skin cells and also promotes skin lightening. Its natural AHA moisturizes the skin. Honey being an emollient, binds moisture to our skin. It also regulates the skin’s pH level and cleans the pores.

1 tbsp raw milk

1 tbsp raw honey

8-10 fresh rose petals

Place both the rose petals and milk into a grinder and grind to get a creamy consistency. Add the honey into this paste. Apply the pack to your face and neck. Wash it off after 10-15 minutes.

Milk, turmeric, and sandalwood

Turmeric has anti-oxidant and antiseptic properties, which keep a check on melanin secretion. Fatty acids present in turmeric reduce oil control. It also acts as a natural sunscreen.

Milk which acts as a natural exfoliate, combined with turmeric, works wonders for skin brightening.

1 tsp turmeric powder

2 tbsp raw milk

1 tsp sandalwood powder

Make a paste by mixing the above two ingredients. Apply it thoroughly all over the face and allow it to dry. Clean up with plain water after 20 minutes.

Milk and licorice

Licorice or mulethi contains an antioxidant named glabridin which helps fight melasma and pigmentation and can be an amazing aid for skin brightening.  Glabridin inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme that causes pigmentation and promotes skin lightening. It can successfully be replaced with hydroquinone since it is much more effective than it for skin lightening. Hence it is recommended to use licorice powder for skin lightening along with other ingredients like milk for enhanced results.

2 tbsp Licorice powder

2 tbsp Raw milk

Simply mix both ingredients and make a thick paste. Apply on your face and neck. Wait for 20 minutes and wash it away with plain water. Repeat twice a week.

Milk and oatmeal

Oatmeal has a high silica content which makes it a good emollient. It is also a natural scrub, which helps to remove impurities that clogs the pores. Milk, with its vitamin D content, keeps the skin supple.

1 tbsp oatmeal

Raw milk

Method :

Take 1 tbsp of oats and add the milk to it, making a thick paste. Apply this paste for 15 minutes. Massage your face in continuous circular motions and then wash it off with water.

Milk and papaya

Mix milk and papaya to make a mask if your skin looks dull and lifeless. Papaya and milk are known for their skin-rejuvenating and brightening properties.

Raw milk

Blend the papaya to make a paste. Add 1 tbsp of milk to a small cup of papaya paste. Apply it generously to your face and neck. Wash it off with water after 25- 20 minutes.
