8 Homemade Hair Mask Recipes For Curly Hair

1.Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Mask

2. Egg Mask

Apple cider vinegar helps to increase curl definition and lowers the pH level of hair. Honey restores the shine and moisture of your hair. This mask also unclogs your scalp and prevents any product build-up. To make this mask, you need to add 1 tablespoon of raw honey and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to some mayonnaise. Mix these ingredients well, you can also add a small amount of coconut oil in it, this will give luster to your hair. Apply the mask for 30 minutes then wash it off.

6.Avocado Mask for hydration

Avocado contains a host of nutrients and is loaded with vitamin E that boosts hydration. When it is used with bananas avocado helps to restore the shine of your curls. For this mask, you will need 2-3 tablespoons of grapeseed oil, 1 banana, and 1 avocado. If you don’t have grapeseed oil then you can replace it with olive oil. Mash the banana and avocado, and then mix all these ingredients. Use it all over your hair and leave it for 20-30 minutes. Wash your hair thoroughly and now you can feel your smooth, hydrated, and defined curls.

7.Oats and Almond Oil Mask

You might know that oats are a cereal that we eat in breakfast but do you know how beneficial it could be for your curls? Oats give us healthy curls as they increase elasticity. It also contains vitamin B that leads to strong hair growth. Almond oil acts as an emollient and helps soften your hair. To make this mask, take 2-3 tablespoons of oats in a saucepan, add 1 cup of water to it. Cook the oats till they are soft. Now place the cooked oats in bowl and add 1 tsp of almond oil in it. Mix well and spread evenly all over your hair. Wait for 30 minutes then shampoo your hair.

8.Banana Mask

This mask is for anyone who has dry or frizzy curls. Banana helps in smoothing the frizz and improves hair manageability. Olive oil helps in moisture and honey reduces shedding and prevents split ends. To make this mask you will be needing 2 ripe bananas, 4 tablespoons of olive oil, and 2 tablespoons of honey. You can mash the banana with forks but if you don’t want any chunks of it in your hair, then use a blender. Mix all these and apply the paste all over your hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes then wash it away with your regular shampoo.

Before using any of these, you should try a small amount of them first. Even if all these are made from natural ingredients, every person’s hair is different.
