Key Ingredients

Tranexamic acid: Tranexamic acid is an “antifibrinolytic” medication, which is often used to reduce heavy menstrual bleeding by breaking down blood clots. Recent studies have shown that when applied topically it can work almost like hydroquinone and reduce pigmentation. It is extremely beneficial in fighting melasma, pigmentation, acne scars, etc.

Avena sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract: It is extremely gentle on your skin and helps fight dry and inflamed skin. Those suffering from eczema also benefit from it.

Salicylic Acid: It penetrates deep into the pores and unclogs them. Removes dirt and dead skin cells revealing the glowing skin beneath. Helps to lighten dark spots or acne marks.

Mandelic acid: This acid is a form of alpha-hydroxy acid that helps fight pigmentation. It unclogs pores and helps clean the acne-prone skin thoroughly. This AHA gently exfoliates the dead skin and helps brighten the complexion.

Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract: Curcumin is an active compound found in turmeric root that has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It works well on acne-prone skin and helps reduce post-acne spots.

Hydroxyphenoxy Propionic Acid: Studies show that it has photoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin which helps prevent damages by UVB rays. Its regular application can reduce the appearance of sunspots, age spots and provide even-toned skin.

Acetyl Glucosamine: It is involved in the production of hyaluronic acid. Acetyl Glucosamine promotes hydration of the skin and helps reduce signs of aging.

Sodium Polyglutamate: Sodium Polyglutamate helps keep the skin well moisturized and wrinkle-free.

Sodium Hyaluronate: Sodium hyaluronate is excellent to fight skin dryness. It works better than hyaluronic acid and provides greater hydration to the skin keeping it firm, plump and youthful.

Packaging

The product comes in a dark-colored glass bottle with a dropper which makes it easy to use. To protect the serum from light an additional dark carton box is added. Overall, the packaging is really good.

My Experience

I had a pimple that went away but left behind an unsightly mark on my cheek. On learning about this serum which uses 3% tranexamic acid and is specifically composed to fight pigmentation and scars, I decided to give it a try. I started using it every night before bed. After cleansing and toning my face, I would just massage few drops of this serum on my face. After using this serum for 3 weeks my face started feeling soft and the acne scar has also lightened although it’s not completely gone. Might need to continue using it for few more months before I see complete results.

My Opinion

This serum can be used by all skin types. Those with sensitive skin types might find it a bit strong and should do a patch test before using it on your face. Once you start using it give at least 3-4 weeks before you expect results although the brand itself says to wait for 6-8 weeks to see clear results. I would certainly recommend it for anyone suffering from acne scars, sun spots, or pigmentation.
