Plum Avocado NourishUp Hair Mask Review

Spread the love

Our hectic lifestyles often leave us with little time to take care of our hair. However, haircare should be an essential part of our daily routine. No matter what type of hair you are blessed with, make sure to provide it with some tender love and care at least twice a week. I have recently used plum avocado hair mask on my hair and here is a review for my readers.

Product Description Of Plum Avocado Hair Mask

This mask provides deep nourishment to frizzy, damaged and dry hair. It is the combination of Avocado Oil and Argan Oil with Shea Butter that will not only lock in the moisture but keep your hair smooth, shiny and frizz-free for long. The best part is that it is free from paraben, silicone, sulphates, alcohol, phthalates, zinc, propylene glycol. This FDA-approved hair mask is vegan and cruelty-free.

Key Ingredients

Argan oil

This oil is an age-old beauty secret. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamins that improve your hair’s elasticity and add a natural shine to dull lifeless hair. Argan oil helps to moisturize and nourish your hair.

Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is extremely rich in carotenoids, vitamin E, oleic acid and contains many other vitamins and minerals. It penetrates deeply into the hair shaft and nourishes damaged hair.

Shea Butter

Shea butter has been used for centuries to soothe dry and itchy scalp. It has emollient properties that make your hair incredibly soft. The vitamins and antioxidants present in it can help control frizzy hair as well as split ends.

Packaging

The product comes in a white coloured wide mouth tub. It can be slightly bulky to carry the tub in case of travelling. There is no spatula given so you might have to use your own spoon to scoop out the cream. Using your fingers directly in the mask can be unhygienic.

My Experience With Plum Avocado Hair Mask

Hair masks play an important role in hair care since they nourish the hair and make them manageable and soft. I often try switching different brands of hair masks to see which brand provides the best results for my hair. This time I decided to try plum avocado hair mask and here is my experience with it. The mask has a mild fragrance and it smells nothing like avocado. Its texture is thick and creamy white. You can use it after washing your hair. Here is how I used it. I washed my hair with my regular shampoo and then I scooped a small amount of the mask and spread it all over my wet hair. I let it sit for 5 minutes and rinsed it away. Post washing my hair I did not use any serum to check the efficacy of the mask alone. The mask was only marginally helpful to calm the frizz on hair. Although it did make hair soft and shiny. But it was unable to remove tangles from hair and make it completely manageable.

My Opinion

My hair is extremely dry and tends to get entangled pretty bad. This mask alone could not give me the desired results. Those with normal to oily hair should be easily able to get results from this mask. I also felt that in order to get its full results you might want to leave on the mask for a longer time, maybe 15-20 minutes. In case your hair is not severely damaged or frizzy, you may want to try it.

Pros of Plum Avocado Hair Mask

  • This mask is FDA Approved and vegan hence cruelty-free
  • It is SLS Free, Paraben Free, Alcohol-Free and Sulphate-Free
  • Super creamy mask to fight dryness
  • Natural ingredients add nourishment and shine to hair

Cons of Plum Avocado Hair Mask

  • Needs to be left-on for more time to achieve desired results.
  • It’s not effective on severely damaged hair.
