Pilgrim Vitamin C Serum Review: Secrets of Jeju Island range

Spread the love

Koreans have proved that no one can beat them when it comes to skincare. For the past few years, Korean skincare has become a rage and most of my friends cannot stop raving about them. After I learned about its composition, I decided to try Pilgrim Vitamin C Serum-Secrets of Jeju Island range and get myself acquainted with Korean products for the first time.

Features

Pilgrim’s Vitamin C Serum is an oil-based night serum. Its special focus is to add glow to your skin, fight pigmentation and prevent signs of aging. Another important point to remember is that it contains all-natural ingredients that do not add any toxic chemicals to your delicate skin.

It contains the following key ingredients that make it one of the best vitamin C serums to look out for in the market.

Key Ingredients

Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid is a great humectant that helps fight dry skin. It has an anti-aging effect and keeps fine lines and wrinkles away.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps bring radiance to the skin. It keeps the skin firm and supple by promoting collagen production. It helps in reducing pigmentation and lighten mild marks.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E helps prevent sun damage. When vitamin E is combined with vitamin C, it improves the chances of photoprotection compared to either of the vitamins used alone. Applied together they also help reduce pigmentation.

White Lotus: Lotus extracts have skin-lightening properties. The antioxidants present in it fight off free radicals and has an anti-aging effect.

Gold Peptide: Gold peptide is an antioxidant and helps improve the penetration of all the ingredients. It also helps shrink pores and reduce fine lines.

Almond Oil: This oil helps repair your skin and adds nourishment.

Texture & Fragrance

It has a pleasant fragrance that lingers on for some time. Unlike most water-based serum, this is an oil-based based serum that is easy gets absorbed into your skin.

My Experience

I have dry skin throughout the year except during summers. In order to fight my winter dry skin, I wanted to try a good quality vitamin C serum. I chose this serum after learning about its composition. Was extremely curious to know the effect of an oil-based serum with white lotus extract and vitamin C on my dry skin.

How to use pilgrim’s vitamin C serum?

Before applying the serum, I cleansed my face then took 2 drops of this serum and massaged it all over my face. At first, it felt oily over my face but as I kept massaging, within no time it got absorbed pretty smooth into my skin. I kept using this serum continuously for 2 weeks and each day I woke up glowing.

Although my skin does not have any wrinkles but does have some fine lines, open pores, and pigmentation. Regular application of this serum helps reduce the open pores and makes the skin look smooth. This serum will not magically remove the pigmentation but will certainly help lighten it.

My opinion about Pilgrim Vitamin C Serum

You can certainly buy this serum in case you want a good night serum and have dry, dehydrated, or combination skin. Those with oily and acne-prone skin should stay away from this serum. However, oily skin individuals can use it during winters when most skin types tend to be drier than normal.  Since most of its ingredients are natural those with sensitive skin types can also give it try. It is an oil-based serum hence you only need a small quantity to cover an entire face. It spreads well and lasts a long time. I certainly felt that buying this serum was value for money. Might go for it again next winter.
